Lisa Munday MLA, Member for Dawseville, recently made a speech to the WA State Parliament endorsing the Stronger Families Foundation and recognising the work undertaken by the Stronger Families team of dedicated and skilled practitioners.
During her speech, Lisa acknowledged the valuable work that the Stronger Families Foundation has been doing since 2021 to address the intergenerational cycle of violence. The impact of family and domestic violence in the Peel region equates to a cost of approximately AUD $150 million per year with 2000 incidents reported from January to April 2024.
Member for Mandurah David Templeman MLA, Member for Murray Wellington, Robin Clarke MLA, and Lisa co shared an election commitment to trial the Caring Dads program in the Peel area and the success of the trial has significantly exceeded expectations.
Lisa Munday has generously offered the new Dawesville Community Centre for provision of the Caring Dads programs and it is expected this will commence in 2025.
