We envisage a community in which families live free from the fear of family and domestic violence.

Our Mission

Breaking the cycle of intergenerational violence to assure the safety and well-being of our most vulnerable children, by supporting mothers, and engaging fathers to promote safe and responsible parenting.

The story of Stronger Families

Stronger Families was born out of a personal journey that many can relate to. Founders Geoff Hart-Davies and his wife, Jackie, first encountered the harsh reality of family and domestic violence (FDV) within their own family and close circle of friends. This painful discovery sparked the desire to make a real difference. With a shared commitment to understanding the complexities of FDV, they embarked on a mission to create lasting change, focusing on the root causes rather than quick fixes.

Geoff returned to education to gain a deeper understanding of the complex issues surrounding FDV. His life experiences, combined with new knowledge, equipped him with the tools to bring together a dedicated team, including Clinical Manager, Noël Robertson, who shares their vision, and deliver the foundation of the programs which make up Stronger Families today.

Together, they envisioned a programme that would empower fathers and men to take responsibility for their actions, fostering healthier relationships and safer environments for their children.

The Caring Dads program delivers the vision of Stronger Families to break the cycle of violence through education, support, and rehabilitation. By addressing the core issues and providing practical solutions, Geoff, Jackie, and their team aim to create a future where children can thrive free from fear.

Their commitment continues to inspire others, proving that change is possible when we confront difficult truths and work together towards healing.
